Vee Speers, Photographer
Vee Speers' often
dark, playful, dream-like photographs are intimate and overwhelmingly engaging.
The first series I
saw was the "Bordello" portfolio, I was instantly seduced and
immediately hooked.
Vee is an Australian
born artist living in Paris and exhibiting around the world.
The second collection
I viewed was "The Birthday Party" inspired by her daughter's
Birthday, featuring her daughter and her friends.
Intense!! These
photos evoke conflicting feelings of fun childhood dress up with a pulling
sense of taboo.
If Dante and
Botticelli painted together I think the creations would look something like the
"Immortal" collection.
We hope to see a full
exhibit in NYC very soon!
